Monica Salaiz-Narvaez CFP®

Founding Partner | Director of Financial Planning | Certified Financial Planner®

Right out of college, a former employer once told me that the industry of financial planning was not an easy career, specifically for women. I’d like to think he propelled me into becoming a Certified Financial Planner and after thirty years in this industry, I continue to love helping people create financial independence.

I have a passion for helping people build financial security through investment management, tax minimization, and income strategies. My knowledge is well-suited for women who are in a transition of some kind: getting ready to change careers or retire, inheriting a large sum of money, getting divorced or navigating the aftermath of divorce, or reimagining life after the death of a spouse.

Several years ago, when my daughters were in elementary school, my funny and young(ish) husband suddenly died. I mention it here because I became a woman in transition. Since that tragic day, I feel a responsibility to assist other women in similar transitions. It is powerful to connect with people over the things that make us human, vulnerable, and imperfect.

My wealth management knowledge benefits my clients because I understand their challenges, values, and goals which allow me to map out a plan that is created for their unique needs. I encourage women to take the initiative to work with a financial professional with the necessary industry experience to provide you exceptional guidance.

In 2008, my business partner, Henry Gallardo, and I started Strategic Wealth Advisors as an independent wealth management firm. We did so because we believe in a client experience and service model that is first-rate. We felt strongly about being independent to investment managers and insurance carriers so as to better meet the needs of our clients by bringing leading financial institutions that make a positive impact on our clients’ lives. Therefore, starting my own financial services company was key in upholding these values.

If you find yourself or someone you love in a period of transition similar to what I experienced, contact me to discuss your options. Life is full of choices, you just need to reach out and ask for help.
